The Beaver Moon of November

Named after the Beaver; the Full Beaver Moon of November is the time of the year that beavers are preparing for the winter. Therefore, hunters use this time to prepare the last beaver traps of the year before winter set in.

As Beavers are nocturnal animals, they use the light to continue building their dams and other structures using wood and mud. Some cultures had different names for the November Full Moon, but those alternatives have been used to name other full moons.
